Spaces are rapidly filling up for various classes. Contact us today to register your child.
We offer enrichment classes afterhours to enhance and support children’s abilities in learning.
We also offer extracurricular activities such as drama, art, karate and ballet.
Our Kindergarten is a space where your children can explore and develop their own understanding of the world alongside their peers and with guidance from our teachers who are trained in the constructivist approach to early childhood development. Language, art, music, science and mathematics are best learned when our children are engaged in activities with enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding outcomes, tailored to the appropriate skill level for the individual child.
Learning at our Kindergarten is accomplished in a social, collaborative, cooperative environment, with our children, for most of the time, collaborating as a team in play, problem-solving and discovery – in other words, constructing knowledge and developing social skills.
In all our endeavours at VIPS we place great importance on the interconnectedness of all subjects and the same is true also at the KG levels: Music is art and mathematics; dance is movement and balance, which is physics. Using simple ideas like singing, clapping or playing instruments, children become aware of patterns, rhythms and the measurement of time, which are all essentially mathematical and scientific.
The Elementary Curriculum (Grades 1-6) at VIPS concentrates on several interconnected aims:
To cultivate and build on the love of learning that exists in all our children at the beginning of life.
To deepen children’s understanding and appreciation of the amazing world that lies before them.
To instill good habits of mind in our children`To help children develop the skills necessary for the next stages in their learning experiences.
We continue the theme of an integrated curriculum with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) subjects playing a crucial role in Grades 1-6.
These integrated activities align comfortably with the US Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for the Mathematics framework and the English Language and Arts (ELA) framework.
At VIPS we recognise that high school students are in a stage of amazing development. These are perhaps the most difficult, challenging, and fascinating times of a young person’s life. Physical, intellectual, and emotional changes are rapid and intense at this early adolescent stage.
We commit ourselves to providing opportunities for mastery of academic skills and the lifelong pursuit of excellence while maintaining a balanced life. The school will provide a supportive environment, which will enhance the students’ self-esteem, personal and academic development.
At VIPS we are committed to the five core values as outlined by the Institute of Global Ethics. These core values are: compassion; honesty; fairness; responsibility and respect.
Our learning outcomes and the school’s academic programs are guided by the following overarching themes: creativity & innovation; communication; collaboration; critical thinking; character; cultural awareness; core knowledge.
All of this is done with a view to ensuring that each and every learner has the prerequisites needed to allow them to have a full choice of pathways in their high school program. In the end, every student will have a high school diploma recognized both in UAE and abroad and any of our graduates will be able to enter universities in the UAE, Europe, the UK, America and elsewhere without problem.
And the same STEAM thread as in previous years is woven into the curriculum by our teachers who work as a team to integrate the various individual subjects in a way which shows how they are connected whenever the opportunity arises.
